They used to welcome strangers. Then, one day, the strangers began settling into their lands. Wastefully consuming the resources, the strangers cared not for the consequences and slowly, the land became barren. What used to boast gumdrop trees, lollipop plants, and gummy delights now gave way to dust, dirt, and thorn bushes. The strangers moved on to different lands since Candyland had gone to ruin. After many many years, the land's wildlife began to replenish itself. The inhabitants of Candyland now kept a careful watch over their precious resources, and grew either wiser or more suspicious.

Creepy story but sadly, you can apply it to some aspects of human life. Think about it. I like the design and it reminds me of playing Candyland with my kids when they were little!!

Creepy, this reminds me of a consistent nightmare I used to have as a child. I would be with a group of friends in Candyland and if you ate any of the candy you would turn into an evil red-eyed monster. I would always end up waking up right as my evil candy-eating friends were closing in on me. I like the design though!
